FINAL PRESENTATION (PLAN)

-description of the overall goals of the project

  • Alter the colors of photos
  • Learn what types of photos are better for editing (which ones need edits)
  • Learn to use Photo shop
  • OVER ALL: TO IMPROVE THE PHOTO AND MAKE IT LOOK MORE PROFESSIONAL
-description of the process of completing the project
  • Search for usable tutorials
  • Search for the the program
  • Use the program to edit photos
  • Create a blog to show how I altered the photo
  • Use this information to determine its utility as an efficient photo editor

-examples of "epic fails" along the way (places where you failed and learned from it)

  • Most of the tutorials were bad and went very fast (http://www.free-photoshop-video-tutorials.com/learn-how-to-change-color-of-specific-objects.asp) = I solved this by looking for more tutorials
  • Youtube was not a very good source. This was surprising because it usually helps.
  • http://www.enjoypic.com/  this is not a good webpage! I could not use the program for editing

-examples of the work in progress (show us how you got to the final product...your steps or how you improved)

  • The steps I took are shown in my blog http://photoalteringblog.blogspot.com/
-list of tools you found helpful and descriptions of how they helped you
    • Google Images: I found most of my images there
    • iPhoto: I could compare and see what limitations it has
    • Befunky: this is my main webpage

-list of tools that you felt were useless or not helpful and why you don't recommend them
  • As I said before, youtube has a variety of videos that let you see the steps in Photo shop but it is very complicated   = Most of the videos on youtube are old and the programs they tout were better now
  • Photo Shop was very advanced for me, and I could not download it. Furthermore, it was impossible to learn the processes to edit the photos easily. (You can do more things with photo shop)

-final presentation of your project with web 2.0 tool
iMOVIE

-link to final presentation must be on a blog post with the label Google 20% and title FINAL PRESENTATION
